Some of our current research projects include:
Sawmill Sink Project We have partnered with the Bahamas National Museum / Antiquities Monuments and Museums Corporation (AMMC), an organization which was formed by the Bahamian Government and mandated with overseeing all resources of historical significance including archeological sites, paleontological sites, blue holes and wrecks.
The Sawmill Sink Project was established in 2004 when BCRF Director, Brian Kakuk discovered well preserved skeletal remains of crocodiles and tortoises in the Sawmill Sink. This site has now been declared as "The most significant fossil find in the history of the West Indies". For more in-depth information on the Sawmill Sink Project, Click HERE.
